bareMinerals Ready 4.o The Good Life

17 July 2014 by admin

Yay! More eyeshadow to play with! Bare Minerals added a lot of new duos and quads as shade extensions to their READY eyeshadow collection. This new one called, The Good Life, caught my eye. My creative wheels started turning when it came to how I wanted to use these colors.

You can easily create a soft everyday look, and create a smokey look for evening with these colors. This new quad has 2 soft tones, and two smokey tones. The new colors are called Opulence, North, Priceless, and Blackout.

After swatching these shadows, I noticed some colors were more pigmented that others. North and Priceless were the most pigmented out of the four. They had a really creamy texture and were super easy to apply and blend. The lightest color out of the four was Opulence. Sometimes when pressed shadows have a little shimmer or glitter in them, they can be a bit dry. I noticed that with this shadow. Blackout is the darkest shadow in the quad. I wouldnt say it the blackest color I have seen, but it is very dark. With Opulence and Blackout, you might need to build up the color with layers if you want to get a lot of color payoff. After playing around with all these shadows on my eyes, I decided I was really happy with the quad. All of the shadows are very easy to apply and you can create many different looks with these colors.

Check out a look I did using this quad!
